Beauty: Review - Rimmel Apocalips

Heya guys
So as I mentioned in my video I am doing a blog post about the Rimmel Apocalips, I've been wanting to do this for a while as I pretty much obsessed about them the moment I put them on my lips and I fell in love with the colours straight away!

I got these on 2 for £9 which is an absolute bargain! And I was even happier because it meant I didn't have to choose between the two I bought as they are my top two colours! So I got Galaxy and Across the Universe.... as I wanted an almost neutral and a red -These just glide on! I was a little worried about them being patchy as this happened with my topshop gloss ink but no... they aren't at all! and when I initially tried Galaxy it looks quite dark and purpley and I did question myself but once I smoothed it out it looked perfect! I don't feel like I have to keep topping this up constantly and it just feels really nice and hydrating on my lips. I'm not really a 'gloss/tint' kinda girl but these are definitely converting me!!

My next two shades are going to be Stellar ( a pink/peachy kind of shade) and Celestial ( a nudey/pink - which looks similar to my lipshade)

Here are some pics of them on:

Which are you favourite shades?

Home - Make up storage.

Hey guys!

So recently I've become obsessed with make up storage and just general interiors... my room definitely needs a lot of work, I really want it to represent me ( if that makes sense?). Decorating rooms can be pricey unfortunatly so my plan is to buy bits and more bits over the next few months and fingers crossed by summer I will do a whole room blog post.

I know a lot of bloggers use Muji drawers I just don't think that they are very me. I'm the kind of person who likes to see everything they own and I like quite quirky/vintage feel things so I may be the only blogger who doesn't own anything muji!

I have a large wish list for my room, I really want some frames and to frame pictures/concert tickets. I reaaallly need some candles in my room ( I am looking at you yankee candles!). I also want a cake stand for my perfumes and some fake flowers to put in the vodka bottle from my friend and then get some other bottles for flowers.

So here is a few of the things I've got so far! The other thing is...I NEED more stuff to put in these!

How do you guys store your make up and jewelry?

Beauty : Review - L'Oreal Superliner

Hey guys!

Not sure if you've seen the new Vlog? I'm still slightly buzzing I actually managed to create an okay video! I know a while back I said I was going to do like 2 videos a week but I think until I get the hang of it and when I get back from home in April I will stick to just one a week. I've got quite a few idea's for videos I want to do so I hope you all will enjoy them!

Anyway! Enough about the vlog - let's get back to the blog and talk some eyeliner. I've always been a liquid liner kinda girl I just find it so quick and easy, initially I used the Barry M eyeliner but came across the Topshop Magic liner and was hooked. The only flaw with the topshop liner was that I felt it dried quite quickly sometimes esp if I was trying to put it over a glittery eyeshadow.

So, the other day I left my topshop liner out with no lid on. Smart move right? I'm the kind of person who needs eyeliner on my face to look reasonably presentable. So I had to substitute with the Lord and Berry liner I was given which was really good but it would be really thin but because its a pencil it would thinken out and I couldn't get it as close to my waterline. So I had my eye on the L'oreal pen for a while and never has there been a more pefect time to invest in something! I actually think it is slightly better then the topshop one and seems to go over all my eyeshadows fine, I think its only a few pounds more too! I even managed a cat eye the other day, slightly wonky I'll admit but I'm please either way, I only wished I was going out so I could show off my success!

Here's a few pics of the liner and a cheeky one of my cat eye!!

Vlog 1: How to look average

Hey guys!
So here it is! My very first vlog!! Go easy on me because everything that could go wrong did! Lost my tripod so the original video I wanted to do I couldn't so I thought I would do something pretty easy:

My daily make up routine! Basically I get up real early and I have like 15 minutes ( pretty much always less then this) to do my make up, so this is a eaaasssy daily make up look you can do in no time!
As I thought trying to add text on top was a little too much for my first video I'll do a run through here:

1) Prime face with- Benefit: Porefessional
2) Apply foundation -Benefit:  Hello Oxygen
3) Apply - Rimmel: Stay Matte powder
4)Apply Blush (/bronzer & Highlighter in this case!) - Urban decay: Naked Flushed
5) Shape eyebrows - MAC: Mystery
6)Apply eyeshadow- Urban Decay Naked 3 : Nooner ( also blend this in on the creases)
7) Highlight underbrows - Urban Decay Naked 3: Strange ( Or Foxy in Naked 2)
8) Apply Eyeliner - L'oreal: superliner
9) Apply Mascara - Rimmel: Scandaleyes
10) Apply concealer - Benefit: Erase Paste Shade 2
11) Small coat of lip balm - Maybeline: baby lips - hydrate
12) Apply Lipstick - Topshop: Beatnik.

I just want to add that Adobe Premiere pro is heaaaaaaaaaaaps easier then Windows movie maker which kept crashing on me!! This was so easy to use, if you haven't used it before there are a lot of tutorials on youtube but its quite easy to pic up, and I am horrendous with technology!! You can trial it for free on Adobes creative cloud along with other adobe products which is amazing!

Any suggestions or comments in video editing are appreciated! Let me know what you think of the video and what are your daily essentials?
I have an idea for a make up look next week I am beyond excited about, what did you think about the no speaking format? I couldn't quite get the hang of talking to the camera so I thought this would be easier to start off with especially as it is a pretty straight forward look. Anyway here it is the finished video!

Style Diary - Valetines meal.

Hey guys!

So Valentines day isn't something I really bother with, but me and the girls used it as a nice excuse to get ourselves back to zizzi's! I had the Penne Della Casa, which was delicious!! We then fitted in the banana and chocolate calzone.. which... wasn't AS nice as it sounded sadly. Anyway I thought I would show you my outfit from the day!

I really need to figure out how to take better OOTD I know, I seem to have lost my tripod aswell which doesn't help! My 600d came this week so I might try and film something later, this may not happen until I get my tripod though! :(
Anyway the outfit!!
Top: Primark
Disco Pants: River Island
Chain necklace: Topshop
Lipstick( which I know you can't see): MAC Russian red.

I wore this with my topshop Chelsea boots and my big faux fur coat.
Hope you all had a lovely day if you celebrated or not!

Beauty: Review - Bumble and Bumble De-Frizz

Heya guys!
So today I'm blogging about a product I've been using for a few weeks now and honestly, I'm in two minds about it.

So its the Bumble and Bumble De-Frizz, I got the travel size because B&B isn't the most bank friendly brand. The travel size is £12.50 which is  a 50ml bottle, when applying this you only need the tiniest bit so the travel size will actually last quite a while.

The product itself well.. one its VERY oily. I have a bit of a complex about oily things, I just can't stand the texture or look of it ( I actually have to dab my pizza with tissue sometimes to get rid of oils... Eurgh) so I prefer applying this to wet hair because it takes all the oil off my hands( otherwise GET A TISSUE READY). You can apply it to wet or dry hair, I have tried both and I think wet is best. When it was dry I was so worried my hair was going to look greasy, luckily it didn't!! Wet or dry it did make my hair look smoother but it didn't completely get rid of frizz.

So overall it isn't a bad product, I definitely wouldn't splash out on the bigger bottle but considering how much use I will get out of the smaller one I think it is worth it in the long run. Any reduced frizz even small is a massive improvement!!

What did you guys think of it? What's your favourite anti Frizz product? I'm thinking about Living Proof Hair Prime...

Beauty: Review - Lush ' New' Shampoo Bar & Haircut.

Hey guys!

So I was going to wait a week or two before I blogged about this but I'm just so amazed by it I had to blog about it today!!

Some of you may be no strangers to the Lush shampoo bars but I tried my first one out this week, I wanted something small that could go in my gym bag and thought this would last longer and be easier to use then a travel sized bottle.

So I got the 'New' Shampoo bar, It says its supposed to stimulate hair growth, which I couldn't tell you about as I have only been using this a week..... but basically you ( obviously) wet your hair just sorta wipe it, so I wipe(?) it 5 times ( though I will probably do it less now my hair is shorter..) but I wipe it down the middle and on each side front and back and oh m god. THERE IS SO MUCH lathering going on, I really didn't expect it at all!! its like I've used nearly half a bottle of shampoo!!

I asked the woman in Lush if I needed a conditioner after it and she said I probably would, so the first time I tried it I didn't use a conditioner and I won't lie I was a little worried that my hair felt so dry in the shower you know when it gets all hard and you feel like your not going to get a brush through it. When I dried it though it felt really fresh and fine, I actually feel like my hair had more volume in it aswell! Throughout the day it didn't feel dry at all and when I used it with a conditioner the next day there wasn't heaps of difference.

It's got a strong smell, you can smell the cinnamon a mile off when you get this out but I don't feel like the smell lingers on your hair throughout the day which is good. It's quite a spicy smell ( if that makes sense...) and if you have smelt the Wiccy bar it's pretty similar to that.

I got the pot to put it in and it is a little difficult to get out at first, the first day I had to just leave it in and rub it on my hair in the pot. but now it gets out okay! the bar itself retails at £5.50 and I think the pot was £2.50 so its £8 in total but completely worth it, this bar is going to last ages!! I think I might try Godiva next. What's your favourite Lush bar?

continuing on with the hair theme, I got my hair cut yesterday!! It's been needed for a while so I bit the bullet and went somewhere called Chandler Rox in Urmston which has a really cool vintage rock vibe interior. I had been wanting to get rid of my layers for quite a while because my hair just always seems to stick out and its beyond frustrating, so I asked for a blunt bob with a side fringe put back in. She left the fringe quite long as we thought it would look better and cut it slightly shorter at the back. The hair cut was inspired by lily Melrose but obviously tailored to my face shape. I had gone this short before and really liked it, what do you guys think??

Beauty: Review - Naked 3 palette.

So... since the day I first laid eyes on the fact there was a naked 3 and the shades in it, I think my heart exploded a little inside. Of course the entire beauty/blogging world also went mad for it and it was sold out preeetty much straight away.

When I was home it was heaps more expensive from sephora so I waited; and waited, till the day I found it again, and NOW IT'S MINE!!!!
The shades are exactly the kind of shades I am putting in my MAC eyeshadow palette, whites, pinks and browns. Pretty neutral but thats what I love.

In the Naked 2 palette, Tease was my ultimate favourite go to day-to-day eyeshadow a nice matte purpley brown that wasn't overly obvious. So...from the day I saw this palette I was preeeeeeeeetty excited about Nooner which is a more pinky matte and I have to say its GORGEOUS!! I can't pick a favourite honestly!! The other Matte shade is limit a really soft pink which I like to use on the inners and then blend out into nooner sometimes to open up my eyes a little.

It has two dark shades which are Darkside which is like a dark chocolatey brown and Blackheart which is a black with pink shimmer. I really like darkside because sometimes I find the black in the Naked 2 palette is just a bit too strong for me so this is a little more suttle. I also tried a smokey eye with Liar and factory which I really liked. I might do some Naked 3 Palette looks as a blog post, what do you think?  The strange in this palette is pretty similar to Foxy and Dust is a little sickly looking so I think those will be the two I use the least. Trick is also very similar to half baked.

I will say the brush is A LOT better in this palette, I found in the Naked 2 the brush just didn't pick up the pigment really at all and occasionally I would use the blending side but this brush picks it up and applies it really well on either side!

I think that this is definitely my favourite palette of the 3 which I really didn't think was possible considering how much I loved the naked 2. It retails at £37 which okay maybe it feels expensive but your getting twelve heavily pigmented shades and it works out around £3 per shade so when you think about it this is an absolute bargain!! And in all honestly I used Tease nearly everyday for 6 months and I am no where near pan!

Here's some more pics and comparing it to the Naked 2 palette.

What are your favourite shades?? Or Naked Palette?

Beauty: Review - Lord and Berry replacement

Hey Everyone,
So on thursday I finally received my Lord and Berry replacement, if you don't know the back story you can read it here. So I got my replacement foundation in Ivory which is the shade I initially wanted and they were nice enough to add in a Luxury Liner. This came in a nice big case aswell!

So this time I stuck a pin down the top as recommended, I can't say if this needs to be done every time but from memory it was a lot easier to get my foundation out, it definitely wasn't as thick this time! Retrying the foundation it felt really light and refreshing on my face! It is a little thicker I feel, then the hello oxygen but not as bad as I remember, you just need a tiny bit more and it spreads beautifully with the expert face brush for a really good coverage. It's a buildable coverage as my cheeks are very red and I needed to add a little bit extra there. All in all I stick by what I said last time, I do really like this foundation it retails at around £20 and I think it is really worth the money.

As a bonus they added the Luxury Liner, its a really nice soft consistency, sometimes I find with pencils they can be quite rough and feel like they are scratching me or you need to work them quite a bit before using them. This goes on straight away its got a really heavy pigment so you dont have to keep going over it to make it really black and the softness means its easy to smudge to get that perfect smokey eye look. I think this can cost between £8-9 so for the quality it's not expensive at all.

So I'm pretty chuffed with these, Lord and Berry have well and truly redeemed themselves and I will be purchasing more of their products in the future! Have you guys bought any? Which L&B product is your favourite?
