Beauty: January 2015 favourites

This month has been a mix of old and new favourites!!  Foundation & concealer wise I have been loving: Benefits - How to look the best at everything ( Review coming soon!). For months I put away my benefit products and stuck to my trusted NARS tinted moisturiser.... after receiving this as a gift I haven't stopped using it! But I'll save the rest for the review! ( gotta keep you all coming back! haha)  Next up, my love for Zoeva continues, I don't think any brushes will top these! I can't wait to get my mitts on the new rose gold eye collection! Such great value especially if you are looking to expand your Brush collection and well. ROSE GOLD. I'm just obsessed with it. I can't be the only one!? Blush & Bronzer wise I've gone back to this NARSicisst palette. Funnily enough I was thinking about selling this because I hadn't really used it much and the bronzer wasn't as pigmented as my Rimmel one. I thought, okay this cost me quite a bit so...one last chance. And that was all it needed. I love the blush and bronzer combo and even love how subtle the bronzer is by itself! Absolutely a Keeper! ( though I'm faaar to white for the highlight) L'oreal Superliner is the only thing I can apply eyeliner with, I've tried barry M, pencils, I've even got an eyeliner gel pot but nothing compares to the ease and pigmentation of this baby!  Over christmas I got super lax with my cleansing routine and this past month I've really gotten back into my ' quick cleanse' using Good Things Deep Pore.You can read a more detailed review here. Lastly, my latest lipstick, I can't describe just how much I love this, I think it really is my favourite lipstick ever.( I really mean EVER) sooo soft. sooo creamy. sooo beautiful. I have tried to film how I did this, it is crazy simple so I will try to edit and upload to my channel within the next few days. It's one of my favourite go to make up looks - I don't think I captured it so well in this picture but I am going out( so I can't spend all day trying to get one or two decent shots of myself!) Vlog 2: February Haul

So I thought as we are nearing the end of february it's only right I do a haul video! 

Now I know I forgot to feature one or two things but this may not seem like much compared to some vloggers hauls and to some people it may be quite a bit. But I make a good wage but I do have a lot coming out each month so I don't get heaps left over for shopping sadly!!

Beauty : Review - L'Oreal Superliner

Not sure if you've seen the new Vlog? I'm still slightly buzzing I actually managed to create an okay video! I know a while back I said I was going to do like 2 videos a week but I think until I get the hang of it and when I get back from home in April I will stick to just one a week. I've got quite a few idea's for videos I want to do so I hope you all will enjoy them!

Anyway! Enough about the vlog - let's get back to the blog and talk some eyeliner. I've always been a liquid liner kinda girl I just find it so quick and easy, initially I used the Barry M eyeliner but came across the Topshop Magic liner and was hooked. The only flaw with the topshop liner was that I felt it dried quite quickly sometimes esp if I was trying to put it over a glittery eyeshadow.

So, the other day I left my topshop liner out with no lid on. Smart move right? I'm the kind of person who needs eyeliner on my face to look reasonably presentable. So I had to substitute with the Lord and Berry liner I was given which was really good but it would be really thin but because its a pencil it would thinken out and I couldn't get it as close to my waterline. So I had my eye on the L'oreal pen for a while and never has there been a more pefect time to invest in something! I actually think it is slightly better then the topshop one and seems to go over all my eyeshadows fine, I think its only a few pounds more too! I even managed a cat eye the other day, slightly wonky I'll admit but I'm please either way, I only wished I was going out so I could show off my success!

Beauty: Review - MAC Russian Red & L'oreal TXT

If you were to ever own a red lipstick. Make it this one.
MAC russian red..... I though I had seen and owned red lipsticks but no, I was incomplete. All my reds tend to be more berry tinted and the other bright reds I owned are too orangey or pinkish( topshop screen siren) and then I got this bad boy. The most perfect shade of red. Everyone knows that MAC lipsticks are the top dogs so yes they may be double the price of the high street but they are well worth it. It isn't patchy or dry on the lips and doesn't come off so easily.

Something else I recently stocked up on is the L'oreal TXT spray  which I got because Zoella reviewed it as a volumising spray without any shine. My main issue with back-combing is the damage it does and how tangled your hair gets and then applying the hairspray my hair ends up so ridiculously shiny its untrue. There is also the problem that my hair becomes too stiff so I thought I would give it a try. I love it!!! It does give your hair a nice little lift, if you want some insane height your best back-coming but for that nice little bit of volume its perfect! and my hair is still soft, unshiny and most importantly doesn't look like I have thrown on heaps of products. It's around the same price as a hairspray and I would definitely recommend investing, I still give my overall hair a quick spray so don't get rid of the hairspray just yet - use it lightly to fix waves. Here is a nice little pic of me the other week before going out, I have waved my hair with a wand and spruced it up with a bit of TXT.

Also I have just discovered MAC instigator and devastated its sold out EVERYWHERE.

Beauty: Review - Lord and Berry Foundation & Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

Hello everyone!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hope you all had an amazing christmas and new year. I got back yesterday from home and it was loverrrly. 

I got some really amazing presents like some GHDs and a MAC Palette, some bags, a new wallet and so many other gorgeous things! 

Today I got two cheeky shades for my MAC palette that I will feature quicky. I went to MAC with the aim to get Cranberry as I had a £10 voucher. However they were out of stock!! Gutted so immediately I fell in love with Plum Dressing, however I have a list of shades I wanted, and thought it might be more practical to get a brown shade that was on the list, that I could use for my brows.So it was Head Vs Heart: when we looked at Haux there was one in stock. it was like fate..... it became mine!! ....And so did Plum Dressing. Oops. 

Anyway!! Let's get onto the main reason for this post. 

So last year I was looking for a new foundation to swap too as I felt that throughout the day the L'oreal True Match was getting quite oily and I could feel it sat on my skin. 

So Lord and Berry had a creme foundation I was really interested in and with fate again my foundation ran out the day before I went home, Luckily there was a stand in Dubai mall. So I bought the foundation and thought sweeeeet. ITS GOT A SCREW CAP. because one of my biggest pet peeves is the lid coming off my foundation and it spilling all over my other make up. So the shade I got was almond, which isn't the shade I wanted I think it was a little darker but a white girl in a sunny country, obviously they wont stock my shade. I got the shade anyway and when i first used it my initial thought was its thick. It came out a lot thicker then the L'oreal. However with the RealTechniques expert face brush is spread beauuuuutifully on my face. The shade didn't look wrong either which I was chuffed with. So all in all loved it. 

HOWEVER. 

On christmas eve I was going to do a cheeky top up and sometimes when trying to squeeze out product it would get quick stuck and hardly anything would come out. so I went to do my top up and this was a time nothing was coming out so..... naturally. I squeezed a little harder then. BOOM. EXPLOSION. foundation was EVERYWHERE. Absolutely gutted. That photo is the aftermath!  I went back to the store to see if I could get one exchange and it had gone!!! Couldn't believe it!! So whilst walking around the mall my mate said she had the Stay Flawless Foundation from Benefit, I swatched it and it felt really light, had a nice ivory shade so today I bought one. She tried it out on my face so I have worn in all day. Honestly, it doesn't fell like I have any on and when I run my finger over it I don't FEEL that foundation sat on my skin another bonus is it has SPF in it, which for fair skin is really good, I think its gonna be really helpful at festivals to know I have some protection on my face.. I have combination skin and this seems so far to really work keeping down the oil.  She did say I would need to do a top up throughout the day which is expected. I also ended up buying the Porefessional which is a product I have been looking at for a while, as I don't use any primers just a nivea moisturiser, the combination seems to be working so far. I might do an update in a few weeks on how I feel then although the lid does feel heaps more secure and the Hello flawless comes with a Porefessional tester, They are a little pricey the two coming up to £50 but they seem worth it to me!
