When you thought your favourite lush product couldn't get any better....

I don't think I am the only one here when I say that the comforter bath bomb is my all time favourite. It smells amazing, produces ridiculous amounts of bubbles for  me to enjoy. When I went to Lush in June I HAD TO get the shower gel version, how could I not?!
And let me tell you. ITS AMAZING. It smells just as delicious as the bath bomb with subtle glittery bits in it. It's the perfect little pick me up after a long day.
My only downside is I do think it's a little pricey? maybe thats just me? I can't remember how much this bottle was I think £9-10? I really wanted to get more but it just would have been too expensive, they had a mega bottle for £30 which is insane. it was HUGE. I've used this so much I've nearly used half the bottle I love it that much so I will definitely be repurchasing no matter what the cost but may get it as a treat every now and again. This was a Oxford street purchase but I think I've heard the liverpool one is getting it - fingers crossed otherwise I may have to frequent London more than I planned to.
have you tried this?

New MAC lipsticks??! - Introducing Diva-ish

beauty review MAC amplified lipstick Diva-ish
beauty review MAC amplified lipstick Diva-ish
When I went home I knew a cheeky airport MAC purchase was on the cards, initially I had gone in wanting velvet teddy but saw 'Diva-ish' and picked it up straight away. Last year I got one of the 'playland' limited edition lipsticks in 'Red Balloon' and fell in love with bright pinks and was waiting for another like this. I had never thought I could pull off a colour like that, it was stunning!
Maybe it sounds stupid but because it was limited edition I didn't want to wear it all the time and run out so I refrained from wearing this. When I bought Diva-ish and looked at it again I was like - oh my gosh! this is so similar to Red Balloon!! Then I swatched them together and they are pretty much bang on. Buzzin, I can now wear them both to my hearts content knowing I can get more! Both are amplified lipsticks so they are smooth and creamy and have a gorgeous colour pay off. This is just the most stunning pink and I really recommend swatching it and trying it out!!
What are you favourite hot pink shades?

So...About that MAC lipliner everyone is talking about

beauty review MAC lip liner whirl
Over the last few months the blogging world has been going craaazzy for Kylie Jenner lips which involves two things: MACs 'whirl' and ' velvet teddy'. Using lip liners is something I am trying to get into so I decided while I was at the airport that ' whirl' was something that definitely needed to be added to my collection.
Initially I thought this would be quite nude but it is quite brownish with a hint of pink. When I first noticed how brown it was I was quite worried as I didn't think it would suit my pale skin but it still looked lovely on! Kinda like my lips but browner? like a hint of brown. At the moment I really like pairing this with Rimmels Kate Moss 03( which I reviewed here) for a nice browny-nude look but this is amazing by itself.
At around £13 is it worth the money? hmm I think so, MAC always is good quality and this lip liner matches up to that, I think it's got a good lasting time and a nice creamy feel to it so my lips don't feel too dry.
What did you think of it? x

The best mascara ever?

benefit rollerlash mascara beauty review
For a while now I had been looking for a new mascara, I'm not big on Mascara and I've only every really owned the falsh lash effect one but I kept finding it was clumpy and if I wore contacts it would sometimes irritate my eyes. I was umming an aahing between the rollerlash or too faced's ' better than sex' mascara as both were getting raving reviews, knowing I could get this cheaper at the airport ( thanks VAT free prices!) I went for rollerlash.
I'll be honest, this deserves all the cred it's getting, the wand is really small and thin which makes it perfect for lower lashes too. It's got like a curve in one side and even has tips for which parts of the brush to use to get different effects. When I used this, wow, every lash was separated and I mean every lash. I found pretty much no clumping, only when I ran the wand through several times did an occasional clump happen and it wasn't even that bad. I also felt like my eyelashes looked longer too, so it kinda looked like I had my Tanya Burr falsies in.
Downside? There isn't really any, I did find my eyes irritated a little but a lot less than with the false lash effect, also this doesn't smudge half as much as the falsh lash - bonus! Apart from that I'm really loving this at the moment!
What do you guys think of it?

Review - Zara's budget friendly perfumes!

zara budget friendly perfume beauty
Of all the places to buy perfume from Zara was not on the top of my list, I had seen their perfumes before but never once thought to actually smell them. About a month ago a friend came over with two of the bottles and they smelt divine....then she goes - they were only a tenner! only. I had to get something for a friend for her birthday so me and my mate decided this would be perfect! At £10 we could get her a lovely bottle of perfume without blowing our entire birthday budget.
Naturally we had to smell them all and I fell in love with this perfume, I think it's limited edition so I would absolutely recommend you get to a Zara asap. It's not an overly heavy scent and it smells like it should cost a lot more then £10. I'm trying to think of how to describe this, it's like fruity musky kinda smell.
If you can't get your hands on this smell the oriental or fruity ones as they are just as lovely, infact my other friend got the oriental so that we can do swapsies.
Which Zara scent is your favourite?

Review: Topshop velvetine lipstick

beauty review topshop velvetine lip stain
A while back I debated getting a lip stain from Sephora(after all the hype) and decided to get something else instead and then get this from topshop after hearing a few good things about this one.  I am a massive advocate of Topshops beauty products but honestly? I was left more then a little disappointed with this one. I found when I applied this it was really patchy and I had to go over it with a lipstick to even out the colour. The colour itself is a lovely deep red very similar to MACs russian red ( which I went over it with).
I will say it did have good lasting power and when I just had the stain on it didn''t print on anything it was just a shame it was so patchy. For £10 I really don't think it is worth it and I'm going to invest in the Sephora version this month so look out for a review of that later!
What did you make of this?

Max factor cream puff blush - Nude Mauve

beauty review max factor creme puff blush nude mauve
I'm 100% a bronzer kinda girl, I think because I'm naturally pink toned I haven't really found blushes that do much for me...until now. Like most beauty bloggers I've been lusting after the hourglass blushes but couldn't afford the hefty price tag. And like most beauty bloggers I rushed to these Max-factor near perfect alternatives.
At around £9 they are significantly cheaper, I ended up choosing nude mauve because it seemed really nice and natural and had bronze undertones so you end up getting a nice little bronzed glow. The pigmentation is really good and it blends in nicely which you can build up to your desired look.
My favourite thing to do with this is to contour my cheeks with a rimmel bronzer and then apply this on the apples of my cheeks. I think I am definitely going to venture into getting a few more of these and ease myself into more blushes, I think I will put lavish mauve or alluring rose on my next to get list!
Have you tried these? Which shades are your favourite?! x

Witch - Overnight serum

skincare review witch overnight spot clearing serum
When I opened my goody bag from the meet up and saw this first I was so excited. I had been looking for something new to put on my skin at night so it was kinda like fate.
When I first tried this I had a massive chin spot, you know those hanging under the skin ones? maybe it's grim but I hate them so much I claw at my skin till it's gone and a horrible big scab is left in place. I kinda felt like I was well and truly putting this to the test as it's supposed to visibly reduce spots - I am the only one who never believes that?
Anyway so I put this on, it smells like witch hazel if you've ever tried their products before, I rather enjoy it.... anyway... I put like a 5p amount in my fingers and rubbed on my face and I could feel it working straight away. It wasn't a stinging sensation but I could feel it doing it's magic in particular on my chin spot. I felt like I had put too much on and was worried about it sitting on my face but within moments my skin had drunk it in and there was no oily feeling of product on my face. Woke up the next day and I will admit, my spot was visibly smaller. I couldn't believe it! I use this every night now and I really do recommend it! It's absolutely going to become a staple of mine.
Have you tried this? what are you favourite overnight serum?

Beauty: Illamasqua Vintage Metallix 'Courtier'

My second delve into Illamasqua was just as exciting as my first. I'm so in love with the vintage metallix collection that I had to get ' courtier' as well. It's a light pink with a rose gold tint, like ' Bibelot' it's full of glitter this time gold and silver that continues that rustic and romantic theme - If you love rose gold this is for you! It looks so different on than it does in the pot it was such a gorgeous surprise!
Although I am pale I still think 'Courtier' looks stunning on me but I think it would look great on any skin colour. It blends really nicely with brown shades to add a little more depth. These have great lasting power and like 'Bibelot' it has great buildability. I think having 'courtier' has convinced me that next wage I am adding 'Embellish' to my collection which is a brown kind of cocoa shade.
Please Illamasqua add some more!! A taupe or golden shade would be amazing!!
What are you favourite Illamasqua products? I think I need to get some more in my life.

Lifestyle: 14/03/2015 NW blogger meet up

Taken from Liv
The only photo I remembered to take - on my phone!
This saturday I got to go to my second blogger meet up which had been in the pipline since around January time! I wasn't as nervous as last time 1) because I already knew Gemma and 2) because a lot of us had been chatting in a FB chat so I already knew I was going to get along with these girls just fine and 3) last time I turned up late in a room of strangers I was welcomed so nicely.
The event was held at Kabinett in Liverpool which is a stunning little bar, I am in LOVE with the decor and they played such an amazing album( I had to ask the bartender what album it was - turns out it was a spotify playlist of acoustic covers!). Being the ever professional blogger - I left my SD card at home so I'm sorry about the lack of pictures!
We each got a cake each ( From Hello and...) which was delicious and everyone grabbed a drink and started chatting, we were pretty much laughing from the word go! Admittedly I didn't get to chat to everyone so hopefully I'll get to chat to them all soon! Though I spent quite a bit of time falling in love with Carrie's life and shop Junkbox ( Where I got a lovely t shirt from). There was also a lovely girl from Natalie Roche who was testing out some of their amazing products on the girls. Later on we held a raffle to help raise some money for two charities - We raised £80 in total( for freshfields and claire's house) - I won a lovely candle from ArranAromatics and also a jar of coconut oil from Lucy Bee - which I can't wait to use for some hairmasks!
At the event we got a goody bag filled with so much! I couldn't believe it! so many companies have been so kind and generous! Beauty, food, stationary - allsorts! ( some of the food maaaay have got eaten before the pictures were taken....#sorrynotsorry). I got a little crazy excited about the stabilo pens and the busyb stationary...I'm just a bit of a stationary freak. There is just so much here to mention, I am going to do a few separate posts on products so keep an eye out for them in the next 6 weeks!

We also got a gorgeous little goody bag from Utility( which had a pineapple car freshner which I am SO excited to put in my little brum when I get it!) and Natalie Roche which had some amazingly soft brushes and products to test!
Afterward we went to Las Iguanas in Lpool One where we didn't get the best service from the staff ( though the manager was lovely and made up for it) we did have some delicious food. It was such an amazing day - my throat hurts from laughing, I can't wait to see these girls again!
To see some amazing photo's of the event check out Hannah who captured it beautifully!

Review - Illamasqua vintage metallix 'Bibelot'

Of the 3 Vintage Metallix shades this was the last on my list when I initially looked at them but when it came to buying them this one ended up in the basket first. I have this weird love for green shades right now and I don't really have any green shades at the moment let alone one like this and thought it would be a great addition!
This isn't just your average olive green shade though- The whole collection was designed around ageing layers which I think they captured. This green has a vintage grey-y feel to it with gorgeous little gold and brown specs to add even  more depth and dimension.
As you can see from the second photo this eyeshadow has amazing build-ability ( I apologise about the blurry pic I've had to resort to a Macro lens that I can't seem to figure out!) One stroke and you've got an amazing base colour to build on but if you do another layer this looks fantastic as a standalone shade. I like to do one layer and then some more in the outer corners to blend light to dark with some white in the inner corner.
The pot isn't as large as the Maybelline colour tattoo's and at £16.50 this is a hefty amount more but I feel like this is worth it? The texture and depth to this just trumps Maybelline for me. I haven't seen a shade like this anywhere and I really love the formulation of it. I also really love the packaging of this and it's romantic/vintage feel. I just wish they would bring out some more colours! - Currently they have 3 colours, a pink and a brown as well as 'bibelot' - the pink 'Courtier' I will be reviewing later in the month!
Have you tried any of these out?

Review : Maybelline colour tattoo x 3

Every blogger and I mean every blogger is talking about these, after trying a few creamy potted eyeshadow's and liking them I decided I needed to expand my colour range.... enter in the colour tattoo's. A lot of people had gone on about 'permanent taupe' but when it came to picking them out I felt ' Vintage plum' was a little more me. Since it was 3 for 2 in boots I felt it would be rude not to get the two other shades I had been lusting after ' Pink gold' and ' metallic pomegranate'. After my initial swatch pink gold is absolutely in the lead for my favourite shade. It's got a great pigmentation! I won't lie I didn't really read these properly so I didn't realise that ' vintage plum' was a leather effect. What does that even mean?! Leather effect?! Am I missing something here? Is this a posh way to say Matte? anyway all I know is it didn't swatch as half as well as the other two and I did wish I picked up permanent taupe.
I wore pink gold and it lasted all day and just a smooth as if I had just applied it right then. 'Metallic Pomegranate' is just as strong and beautiful by itself. I haven't had a chance to wear 'Vintage plum' but the second time I have tried to swatch it the colour pay off was much better so I am a little more optimistic about it now it is a really gorgeous grey-y lilac colour. I think it will make a perfect base to build a smokey purple eye on.
I tried to show you all a swatch of them but my lens has broken and my other doesn't want to co-operate with me :( sorry guys! (I'll try and get a pic up soon!)
For a £5er I think these are really worth it, the pots are a great size and they are worth the money. They make an excellent base/eye primer to build your make up on. I think I am going to invest in the taupe and bronze shade!
 Which shade is your favourite?

Beauty review MAC Angel lipstick

This was the first MAC lipstick I ever bought, I was in love with this colour, nude-y pink( more pink!). I just couldn't make it work for me at the time and ended up giving it to a friend as it suited her more. Over December I had been toying to going back to trying a shade similar to this because I did want to start wearing lighter pinks again, it's just hard when you have giant lips! I received this as a gift and I was in love with this shade all over again.

Although this can look great by itself I do find sometimes the pink goes in my creases and settles which is what I didn't initially like about it. Excuse my chapped lips, I tried to put on some lip balm on top of this as you can see this lipstick can be a little unforgiving if you don't have perfect lips, it also sits on top of my lip.

I decided that in order to make this work for me best a lip liner was needed in a neutral shade to mix in with the light pink. When I bought Rimmel's ' east end snob' and CT ' pillow talk' I knew they would be perfect bases and I was right! For me this really does work best with a pencil colour underneath, it also means the two colours blend together so the pink is not too pink for me. Perfect for that bold smokey eye grunge look. ( I couldn't get a picture of it with the lip liner as my normal lens has broken and I'm stuck with a Macro lens that insists on being difficult!)

The NARS dolomites eyeshadow duo

Nars has a funny way of deceiving me, the box looked a good size, when I took out my eyeshadows I felt a little disapointed for £25 quid, it felt small. Open it up and there are two really big eyeshadows -relief! This palette got added to my lust list after seeing it on Latasha's blog ( whose photography is far superior to mine!), it just looked too beautiful to pass up!
I wasn't disappointed with the colours when I opened this up, the light pink and brown both have a gorgeous light rainbow glitter to them, I don't think any photo could do this justice. The pink is very shimmery and the brown is a matte with glitter - does that make sense? I feel like they are going to make the perfect 1960-s cat eye with a glittery twist! ( I will be trying something like this in a few days - keep your eyes out!)
The pink shade is just stunning and the brown blends in beautifully and softly which is going to be perfect for your crease. was this worth the £25? -Yes I think so! When you think a Mac eyeshadow is £12.50 a pop; this is pretty much the same value and I haven't got any shades like this! Let's not forget that NARS packaging is just beautiful and simple, I think it's what's attracting me to NARS so much lately. This comes with a large mirror which is brilliant as well!
Which are your favourite NARS palettes I should look at?
Ciao x
PS. this is limited edition but John Lewis still had some online if you want one ( ASOS has sold out!) and you can get it delivered ready for collection by 2pm the next day!

My top 5 MAC lipsticks so far

I haven't been as into MAC lately to be honest, I keep turning my lust have lists to Charlotte Tilbury and NARS but you can't deny MAC has got it when it comes to lipsticks. I own around 12 at the moment and I do I have quite a few on my list like  'Velvet Teddy' and 'Twig' as they have been real hyped up lately. In most blogger chats; a lot of the time it's  - what's your favourite MAC lipstick? so I thought I would share mine!
1. First up is Russian Red, I think this will always be my favourite and the one I will always pick when asked for my favourite. It's the one I know I can always depend on for a night out. The perfect classic red and not as drying as Ruby Woo.
2. Yield to Love is next up, this is a limited edition ( Sorry!) but as soon as I bought this I loved it, it's a beautiful mauve shade, my shade but better.
3. Red Balloon was an unexpected favourite, I don't usually go for bright pinks and this was an eye opener, I really want some more pinks. This was a limited edition as well ( sorry...again!) but MAC's 'all fired up' is a great alternative.
4. Next up we have plumful, this is a more purpley mauve, and lookss great on. I love to wear this to add a little more to my make up look rather then a colour similar to my own lips.
5. Lastly is Hearts Aflame, another limited edition ( SORRY, I really am!) this is a beautiful brick red, MACs Diva or Darkside would be a great alternatives.
What are your favourite shades?

RealTechniques Bold Metals Review

This is such an unexpected post, on Thursday I received 4 of the stunning Realtechniques bold metals brushes in the post. I had absolutely no idea where they came from and a major panic I had somehow ordered them in my sleep or something! Checked all my boots accounts and no it wasn't me! I was so overwhelmed that someone would get something so beautiful for me and after some investigation - it turned out it was two of my besties from back home who wanted to surprise me with a late birthday and christmas gift!! I was so shocked and I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends! I have been having a hard time lately and these were the perfect pick me up. They have put the biggest stupid grin on my face even in these times. I had been lusting after these for a while but couldn't afford to get them!
They got me the 200 oval shadow201 pointed crease202 angled liner and 300 tapered brush. The last one is rose gold, and oh my gosh - I have such an obsession with it that me and Jemma(Dorkface) cannot stop talking about all the different rose gold things we want! These brushes are honestly gorgeous and so soft. I really wasn't sure about the price for the more expensive brushes but after feeling the tapered brush I think I am going to have to dig deep in my wallet and invest in the other brushes! What I really love is the size of the angled liner, I hadn't looked at it before but it is a lot smaller then a usual angled brush, I find them too large to do under my eye usually; so this is going to be the perfect size to help me acheive a smokey eye look this year! ( that's one of my beauty resolutions!) The silver brushes aren't as bank breaking as the other brushes so if you do want to invest I would suggest these all 3 that I have are amazing brushes! I think I may actually use the oval shadow to start highlighting my face a little more as it is quite a large eyeshadow brush and I do really need to get into highlighting.... this may also mean a cheeky purchase of the hourglass highlight palette.
Have you guys got any of these beautiful brushes? & Happy Valentines lovelies ( I'll be spending it with pizza and my cat - the cat lady dream!)

Beauty - Rimmel lip liner in ' Eastend snob' a.k.a the ' pillow talk' dupe!

Whoa. Sorry I didn't put a warning for the mega face shot there! Last month I gave away CT pillow talk and just couldn't afford it for myself. I was devastated, everyone is raving about it! I searched through boots for a cheaper alternative and couldn't find one anywhere. The other week I went round again on another desperate search,as a fellow blogger had said No7's nude was a good option but I found it too brown to what I remembered. I went back to Rimmel and saw this shade and thought this looks like a match!
The shade is in the exaggerate range in 'Eastend snob'
I really like this lip pencil, it's just as soft and creamy and may only fall slightly short of CT. the nib is a cool slant which is super easy to apply & it looks great on. I would say it's a little pinkier then CT pillow talk but if you see the photo above it's only a slight difference at £3.99 you can't really complain! £12 cheaper this is a fantastic alternative!
I don't really use lip liners so this is something I am trying to get more into and this does make a great base, it's very similar to my own lip colour too so I have used this by itself.
Tell me some of your favourite lip liners!
Ciao x
P.S I've got a post coming up before the end of the month on Pillow Talk so you can see the difference on my lips!

Beauty: Benefit's - How to look the best at everything

I received this as a birthday present from one of my besties and I was so excited about it! I already have the porefessional and hello flawless foundation but since the NARS tinted  moisturiser entered my life they kinda took a side line. Now, it the complete opposite, I have turned to this everyday! Porefessional feels like CLOUDS. actual clouds on your face it is so soft and a small amount goes a long way, I use this mostly on my nose and t-section. The foundation is really soft and I don't feel it sitting on my skin or being all cakey. It doesn't make my skin feel oily either, I really rate this foundation!
I LOVE the concealer, it's so soft and smooth! I used to use benefits erase paste but I prefer this, I use both colours so I dot the lighter shade under the eye at each corner and use the darker shade in the middle and do a line along my cheek. This blends so well and I actually prefer this to my collection 2000 ( is that slightly controversial?) but I think it's probably because I prefer my concealer to be a bit thicker and more of a paste, if you get what I mean.
The powder is great, the make up stays on all day, I can't honestly say if its better than my Rimmel stay matte powder which is probably a lot cheaper. My only bug bear with the powder in this is that you can't take it out, you can take all the other products out and they are a great size but if you wanted to powder up later you would have to take the whole thing.
You can actually take the whole thing out and use just the book as a little box, with it's tips and tricks this makes a great present. ( I think I can say because I was beyond chuffed with it!)
What are your favourite benefit products?

Beauty: January 2015 favourites

This month has been a mix of old and new favourites!!
Foundation & concealer wise I have been loving: Benefits - How to look the best at everything ( Review coming soon!). For months I put away my benefit products and stuck to my trusted NARS tinted moisturiser.... after receiving this as a gift I haven't stopped using it! But I'll save the rest for the review! ( gotta keep you all coming back! haha)
Next up, my love for Zoeva continues, I don't think any brushes will top these! I can't wait to get my mitts on the new rose gold eye collection! Such great value especially if you are looking to expand your Brush collection and well. ROSE GOLD. I'm just obsessed with it. I can't be the only one!?
Blush & Bronzer wise I've gone back to this NARSicisst palette. Funnily enough I was thinking about selling this because I hadn't really used it much and the bronzer wasn't as pigmented as my Rimmel one. I thought, okay this cost me quite a bit so...one last chance. And that was all it needed. I love the blush and bronzer combo and even love how subtle the bronzer is by itself! Absolutely a Keeper! ( though I'm faaar to white for the highlight)
L'oreal Superliner is the only thing I can apply eyeliner with, I've tried barry M, pencils, I've even got an eyeliner gel pot but nothing compares to the ease and pigmentation of this baby!
Over christmas I got super lax with my cleansing routine and this past month I've really gotten back into my ' quick cleanse' using Good Things Deep Pore. You can read a more detailed review here.
Lastly, my latest lipstick, I can't describe just how much I love this, I think it really is my favourite lipstick ever.( I really mean EVER) sooo soft. sooo creamy. sooo beautiful. Best voucher & money combo ever spent! I did a full review of this here.
What have been your favourites this month?

Beauty Review - Daisy Delight 50ml Perfume

Safe to say I am a massive Marc Jacobs perfume fan, owning 4 of the different daisy perfumes and previously owning Oh!Lola yeah, you could say I love them! - we are just a great match. This was a lovely unexpected christmas present from my parents and I was super happy to have another daisy in my collection ( C'mon who wouldn't be happy to receive one for christmas?)

I knew I would like it before I smelt it 1) because it was MJ but 2) because my parents are actually really good at picking perfumes out for me!

It wasn't a daisy I had smelt before as I had gone straight for the pink delight edition when seeing these and didn't think look at any others. This one didn't disappoint though, it smells just as fresh and floral as all the others. It's a great sized bottle for your handbag as well ( though the lids are NOT handbag friendly) and I do wish I had smelt it before as it would have been on the never ending wishlist though it did add to the surprise!

This perfume quotes:
Its juicy and floral cocktail of quince flower, freesia, crisp apples and romantic peony capture a fresh and exuberant fragrance that is perfect for every day wear.

and I definitely agree! It's a perfect little perfume.
