Getting something from Zoeva that isn't a brush....

A while back I ordered some brushes for my mates birthday and couldn't resist treating myself and trying out some Zoeva lipsticks( you can't ever have enough right?!). I picked the shade melting kisses;this is described as a warm mellow pink, I have no idea why it's come out so coral in the photograph! I suppose it is kind of like a corally pink.  Those of you packaging nuts may be pleased to know this has magnetic closing, I know how us bloggers love a good bit of magnet in our lipsticks. The overall look is quite simple which personally I like,  it's glossy and I kinda feel like it looks a little..bulky? if that makes sense. It's not as smooth and soft as the topshop lipsticks but it still is good and the colour pay off isn't to shabby either. It cost around 8.50 euro's which I suppose is fair enough but I think there are better high street lipsticks out there which are easier to get hold of like Topshop and Rimmel. I will enjoy using this but I'm I think I'll stick to getting more brushes from Zoeva for now.  Have you tried one of these? Ciao x Keep up to date with my latest posts by following me! :)

Beauty: January 2015 favourites

This month has been a mix of old and new favourites!!  Foundation & concealer wise I have been loving: Benefits - How to look the best at everything ( Review coming soon!). For months I put away my benefit products and stuck to my trusted NARS tinted moisturiser.... after receiving this as a gift I haven't stopped using it! But I'll save the rest for the review! ( gotta keep you all coming back! haha)  Next up, my love for Zoeva continues, I don't think any brushes will top these! I can't wait to get my mitts on the new rose gold eye collection! Such great value especially if you are looking to expand your Brush collection and well. ROSE GOLD. I'm just obsessed with it. I can't be the only one!? Blush & Bronzer wise I've gone back to this NARSicisst palette. Funnily enough I was thinking about selling this because I hadn't really used it much and the bronzer wasn't as pigmented as my Rimmel one. I thought, okay this cost me quite a bit so...one last chance. And that was all it needed. I love the blush and bronzer combo and even love how subtle the bronzer is by itself! Absolutely a Keeper! ( though I'm faaar to white for the highlight) L'oreal Superliner is the only thing I can apply eyeliner with, I've tried barry M, pencils, I've even got an eyeliner gel pot but nothing compares to the ease and pigmentation of this baby!  Over christmas I got super lax with my cleansing routine and this past month I've really gotten back into my ' quick cleanse' using Good Things Deep Pore.You can read a more detailed review here. Lastly, my latest lipstick, I can't describe just how much I love this, I think it really is my favourite lipstick ever.( I really mean EVER) sooo soft. sooo creamy. sooo beautiful. Beauty: Rose Golden Zoeva Brush set review

Since these were released I was like. I NEED. Not only are they rose gold ( I seem to have some strange obsessed with) but the overall set was made of brushes I genuinely wanted ( I also really wanted to enlarge my brush collection.)
BUT.
When I finally got the money to afford them, they had made the vlogging/blogging rounds and that was it. SOLD OUT. I was gutted. Not going to lie, these were due back in in april and I refreshed that page everyday on holiday to make sure I didn't miss out.
And I wasn't disappointed.

You get 8 beautifully soft brushes and two bags - one a leather clutch and another is just a standard drawstring bag. ( I haven't found a purpose for this one yet/)
The brushes are:
Face:
106 Powder: Apply loose and pressed powder
102 Silk Finish: Apply and blend foundation
110 Face Shape: Contour the face shape with cream and powder products
127 Luxe Sheer Cheek: Apply powder blush
142 Concealer Buffer: Apply and blend concealer

Eyes:
227 Soft Definer: Softly blend and smooth eyeshadow
231 Petit Crease: Accentuating and blending in the crease
317 Wing Liner: Detailed eyeliner strokes and a perfect wing

I have tried out most of these brushes, not only are they the softest brushes ever but they are GOOD. I tested out the 102 brush against the Realtechniques expert face brush with both foundations I have, I found it fared better with the more liquidy foundation rather then the Lord and Berry which doesn't really run, however it did spread well but not as well as the realtechniques but pretty close. The powder one works just as well if not better then my MAC brush, I will only use the MAC one now when taking make up around as it's smaller. and the concealer and cheek brushes are also extremely good, I haven't used a concealer brush before and I am quite enjoying it, though sometimes I think my fingers do work better.

In terms of the eye brushes I haven't used the wing liner as I have two already. However the crease brush I decided to try out and boy did this pick up colour. I wasn't expecting the brush to take on as much eyeshadow as it did! so much I had to blend it out quite a bit with the soft definer which works well as either a blending brush or a lidsweeper.

This set is 58 euros which I think with P & P came to around £55 quid, so thats like... £8ish a brush? plus a leather clutch, BARGAIN. This set is perfect for those who are getting into make up or expanding on their small brush collections ( like myself.)

I've already picked out 5 other Zoeva brushes I will be getting my hands on! Which do you recommend?

Beauty -Spring 2014 Beauty Wishlist

Hey guys!
So this post is pretty lame but I'm still seriously ill and I just want to rest. I did kind of want to stop doing wishlists but I thought one last one wouldn't hurt! :)

1. Ambient lighting blush - Mood Exposure : I don't know what it is about these blushes but the inner artist in me is screaming to buy them all! They are just stunning! Looking at all of this I think Mood Exposure will be my first purchase of the lot! It seems to have quite a mauve tone similar to the Topshop blush - Dream phone that I just bought.

2. Bumble and bumble - City Swept : I've been eyeing this because it looks like a quick fix texturising spray and I think it would be perfect for work when I've taken my helmet off ( I drive a motorbike) to give my hair a little more oompf and a little less helmet hair.

3. Zoeva - Rose gold brush collection : Not gonna lie, I have been eyeing this up for months now, imagine my devastation when I finally get the money and it's out of stock!!! ( this seems to be a reoccuring theme here, definitely need to win the lottery!! ) I am obsessed with rose gold and the thought of it being on my brushes is too exciting! You get 8 essential brushes and a gorgeous elegant bag to put them all in! Perfect for travelling!

4.NARS -  Narcissist Eye palette : I did actually reserve one of these. I think I missed the call and it is sold out AGAIN. I umm'd and ahh'd about this because it had mixed reviews but the more I can't have it the more I HAVE to have it.Those two purple toned shades NEED to be in my life.

5. Charlotte Tilbury - Vintage Vamp Palette : You can never have enough eye palettes. This one is gorgeous! 4 colours that work so well together and give a new take on the 'smokey eye'

6. Estee Lauder - Pure colour envy lipstick in Rebellious Rose: I have a list of these lipsticks that I want but this is the chart topper. Nice mauve tone I think would be perfect for day to day! ( do you notice a natural mauve theme in my products?!)

7. Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores - I have a pore complex. I just hate them and I will try anything to get rid of them!! I've heard a lot of amazing reviews about origins and I think this would be an ideal first purchase! I really want to up my beauty routines this year.

8.Living proof - primer : As I mentioned above. helmet hair is not a cool look, neither is windblown-to-fuck hair; which always seems to happen to me! I've seen really good reviews about how this helps hair to stay put for days!

9. Korres - Wild rose + Vitamin C sleeping mask: As I mentioned above I really want to up my beauty game in the sense of getting better at cleansing and taking care of my skin. I use a nivea night cream but I am unsure how I feel about it so I think this is going to be the next contender for my night cream staple.
