A Charlotte Tilbury nude you need in your life

Safe to say my nude obsession is still going strong, after lusting after Bitch Perfect for so long another CT nude popped up and caught my attention.... CT's Miss Kensington. I Umm'd and Ahh'd about this because I looked at loads of different swatches to figure out how it may look on me. Easiest thing to do? try it on in store!! I'm sure you've guessed the rest of the story I bought it straight away and it was everlasting love there onwards. This is a fantastic nude and I feel the colour does adapt to the colour of your lips. It's a subtle pinky nude and looks really natural on the lips which I have to be careful of having fatter than average lips. As per all CT products the quality is amazing and this is soft and moisturising. It has a good colour stay but I do find I have to reapply but this is probably another downfall of fat lips as it's more obvious when the colour starts to fade. At £23 I think it's worth spending that little bit more to get and as it's limited edition I would recommend snapping one up fast! Ciao x  Keep up to date with my latest posts by following me! :)

Getting something from Zoeva that isn't a brush....

A while back I ordered some brushes for my mates birthday and couldn't resist treating myself and trying out some Zoeva lipsticks( you can't ever have enough right?!). I picked the shade melting kisses;this is described as a warm mellow pink, I have no idea why it's come out so coral in the photograph! I suppose it is kind of like a corally pink.  Those of you packaging nuts may be pleased to know this has magnetic closing, I know how us bloggers love a good bit of magnet in our lipsticks. The overall look is quite simple which personally I like,  it's glossy and I kinda feel like it looks a little..bulky? if that makes sense. It's not as smooth and soft as the topshop lipsticks but it still is good and the colour pay off isn't to shabby either. It cost around 8.50 euro's which I suppose is fair enough but I think there are better high street lipsticks out there which are easier to get hold of like Topshop and Rimmel. Topshop lipstick in lovestruck

The amount of Topshop lipsticks I own is quickly creeping up, at £8 a go they are an absolute bargain. I think the quality of these guys matches even MAC at times. Deliciously soft and creamy these definitely don't dry your lips out and colour pay out is pretty darn good.   The other day I had a look in the Topshop make up section and noticed a few new lipsticks and was like ohhhmygod, this one was initially sold out but thankfully Liverpool had one left. It's a gorgeous pinky rose shade, not far off MACs plumful and estee lauders rebellious rose.  I am still waiting for Topshop to bring back my beloved beatnik so I can stock up but I think this one will tide me over till then! New MAC lipsticks??! - Introducing Diva-ish

When I went home I knew a cheeky airport MAC purchase was on the cards, initially I had gone in wanting velvet teddy but saw 'Diva-ish' and picked it up straight away. Last year I got one of the 'playland' limited edition lipsticks in 'Red Balloon' and fell in love with bright pinks and was waiting for another like this. I had never thought I could pull off a colour like that, it was stunning!  Maybe it sounds stupid but because it was limited edition I didn't want to wear it all the time and run out so I refrained from wearing this. When I bought Diva-ish and looked at it again I was like - oh my gosh! this is so similar to Red Balloon!! Then I swatched them together and they are pretty much bang on. Buzzin, I can now wear them both to my hearts content knowing I can get more! Both are amplified lipsticks so they are smooth and creamy and have a gorgeous colour pay off. Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 03

Most people are getting into bright lips for summer but I am seriously digging the nude lip. In particular a more brown toned nude lip. After CTs 'bitch perfect' continuing to elude me I saw Lily Melrose use this nude and I thought.... this could be the one. And it was! This is the perfect nude shade I was after, the pink matches my lips and the brown gives it that little something extra. I love pairing this lip with a bronzed face - foxes inspired. This lipstick has a good lasting stay but does need to topped up every couple of hours.  I don't mind though at £5.49 it's an absolute bargain & it's got great pigmentation! I'm thinking about pairing it with MACs ' whirl' to help with the lasting power. I don't feel like this is drying on the lips either which is great as I constantly need to reach for the lip balm recently! Which is your favourite Kate Moss lipstick? Beauty review MAC Angel lipstick

This was the first MAC lipstick I ever bought, I was in love with this colour, nude-y pink( more pink!). I just couldn't make it work for me at the time and ended up giving it to a friend as it suited her more. Over December I had been toying to going back to trying a shade similar to this because I did want to start wearing lighter pinks again, it's just hard when you have giant lips! I received this as a gift and I was in love with this shade all over again.

Although this can look great by itself I do find sometimes the pink goes in my creases and settles which is what I didn't initially like about it. Excuse my chapped lips, I tried to put on some lip balm on top of this as you can see this lipstick can be a little unforgiving if you don't have perfect lips, it also sits on top of my lip.

 I decided that in order to make this work for me best a lip liner was needed in a neutral shade to mix in with the light pink.When I bought Rimmel's ' east end snob' and CT ' pillow talk' I knew they would be perfect bases and I was right! For me this really does work best with a pencil colour underneath, it also means the two colours blend together so the pink is not too pink for me. Perfect for that bold smokey eye grunge look. ( I couldn't get a picture of it with the lip liner as my normal lens has broken and I'm stuck with a Macro lens that insists on being difficult!)

My top 5 MAC lipsticks so far

I haven't been as into MAC lately to be honest, I keep turning my lust have lists to Charlotte Tilbury and NARS but you can't deny MAC has got it when it comes to lipsticks. I own around 12 at the moment and I do I have quite a few on my list like  'Velvet Teddy' and 'Twig' as they have been real hyped up lately. In most blogger chats; a lot of the time it's  - what's your favourite MAC lipstick? so I thought I would share mine! 1. First up is Russian Red, I think this will always be my favourite and the one I will always pick when asked for my favourite. It's the one I know I can always depend on for a night out. The perfect classic red and not as drying as Ruby Woo.  2. Yield to Love is next up, this is a limited edition ( Sorry!) but as soon as I bought this I loved it, it's a beautiful mauve shade, my shade but better.  3. Red Balloon was an unexpected favourite, I don't usually go for bright pinks and this was an eye opener, I really want some more pinks. This was a limited edition as well ( sorry...again!) but MAC's 'all fired up' is a great alternative.  4. Next up we have plumful, this is a more purpley mauve, and lookss great on. I love to wear this to add a little more to my make up look rather then a colour similar to my own lips.  5. Lastly is Hearts Aflame, another limited edition ( SORRY, I really am!) this is a beautiful brick red, MACs Diva or Darkside would be a great alternatives.  What are your favourite shades?

Beauty: Topshop Lipstick - Partition

I won't lie, I was swayed to by this because it was a Beyonce song... I had initially gone into Topshop to buy two other shades and saw this one and because of the name swatched this and I ended up loving this the most. This shade is a gorgeous pinky red shade that from memory I think is quite similar looking to MACS 'all fired up' or 'lickable'.  I love Topshop lipsticks, I think they are just the best value and feel just as good as any MAC lipstick. Creamy,moisturising and they last for a good amount of time and hey for £8 they are a bargain! I was using this lipstick for a post for my style blog(here) and unfortunately didn't get the time to take another picture as I've just had an op and having cotton taped to your nose is not attractive, so here was an 'outtake' pic!  Ciao x Keep up to date with my latest posts by following me! :)

Beauty: Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Amazing Grace

The worst thing about this lipstick? trying to pick it!!! I had an idea in my head of which shades I would go for to try and make it easier and this wasn't on the list. I had googled, read blogs, viewed countless swatches and studied all the shades. In my head at the top of the list was Bitch Perfect (- sadly this was out of stock) ; I knew I wanted a pink/nudey shade. Though Love Liberty and Glastonberry were very nearly going to override that want. We swatched various shades and as soon as the girl swatched this I was like - oh my gosh! We swatched a few more but I couldn't stop looking at how pink this was and decided this was the one.  I won't lie, I had a minor panic attack on the bus home, what if it was TOO PINK? I have quite big lips and some shades can make my lips look awful or they look fake. But when I took this out the packaging I knew I had made the right decision. Tried it on and it was a match made in heaven. I can't stop wearing this!

Like my other CT lippie this just glides on, it's so creamy and is just as moisturising even though it's matte. It's got great lasting power as well and as per all her products it looks great. Can someone just donate me a heck of a lot of money so I can buy them all!??! Which shade are you lusting after? Beauty: Autuminal Favourites

I know I have been off the blogging radar, I got a new laptop and can't seem to get photoshop on it, to edit my pictures so I may have to get back to the old laptop again....I am pretty useless with technology!

So a lot of people are going on about their Autumn favourites and there are some excellent selections going on. Of course we all have the standard dark A/W lip, I know a lot of people are going for berry's but this dark brick red ( MAC's hearts aflame) is the one for me this Autumn( if you want a cheaper version look at the Kate Moss for Rimmel collection 07).  My daily lip is MAC's Yield to love, I love a good Mauve ( I've probably said this countless times) - mylipbutbetter. Anybody have a few good Mauve's to recommend? Illamasque seem to have some good ones going!

I got this rimmel bronzer to replace my beloved topshop bronzer and its perfect! I always prefer a bronzed cheek to a blush and this is quite subtle, I was debating the bodyshop honey bronzer but I was broke and this was cheaper...what's new? but it was a great decision, same quality! On top of this I have been loving dabbling the Rimmel stay blushed! I am going to do a review of this because I love this so much more then I ever anticipated.

A few weeks on and I am still wildly in love with the Naked basics 2, it actually hurts to debate using another palette, like I feel like such a judas I have to find a way to sneak this one in as well. I think it's brilliant to do a simple shadow sweep a long with the brick red or a brown smokey cateye with the mauve.

And lastly I have fallen back in love with my Realtechniques blush brush! I always put this aside for my Kabuki brush but recently this has been coming out on top.

Beauty - 5 Winter lipsticks

I love winter, I love the dark tones, the faux fur, the leather, I love it all.( apart from the cold. I really don't love that.) I don't usually separate between summer and winter in terms of make up or fashion, I think the most I have done is swap from foundation to tinted moisturiser. But there is something about winter that makes everyone want to get their Burgundy lipsticks out so I though I would put my two cents in and show you the 5 shades I have ' for winter'.

- Charlotte Tilbury: Night Crimson
- Mac: Hearts Aflame
- Rimmel: Kate Moss 107
- Topshop Lip Bullet : Wine Gum  ( the don't sell this anymore but they have  another shade called Bewitched which is equally as nice)
- Mac Russian Red ( this isn't particularily wintery or dark but I love it so and I will probably wear this to any christmas parties with some gold eyeshadow...)

Another lipstick I used to own was Topshops Hazard which for £8 is ideal and a beautiful shade.

Beauty - MAC Lipstick Yield To Love

So I only found out about the Novel Romance Mac collection a few weeks ago, I just can't keep up with these collections!!! It was LOVE, I don't think I have wanted a collection so much, I loved all the quads and 4/6 of the lipsticks. It's a shame me and my bank don't share this same love for MAC. I had to narrow it down to 2-3 lipsticks that I could aim to buy.
The 4 I was looking at were: Good Kisser, Yield to Love, Hearts Aflame and Lingering kiss.
due to the bank I had to narrow this again.....What is my poor life.
Yield to love was the only one still available online and I read somewhere it was an online exclusive after much research. I had to have it. I'm a sucker for mauves since I can't go for nudes or light pinks mauves are my neutral. And oh! This did NOT disappoint.
It's a creamsheen lipstick and its it's an inbetween for Estee Lauders Pure Colour Envy Rebellious Rose and MACs plumful ( see the pics below, Yield to Love is in the middle) It's a dream. I tend to find a lot of MAC lipsticks a little drying no matter which type I get, but they are always forgiven.

The other I am looking at getting is Hearts aflame, its a brick red and I can justify this... because my topshop Hazard got lost ages ago and I never got a brick red since... so you know...I NEED one really...
Good Kisser looks a lot like red balloon which saddens me because I love that lipstick and its limited edition so I feel I need another similar to help me get through life.
Lingering Kiss I think will be a decision I make when I see it, I have seen a few different swatches and I think its one of those you won't really know until you see it....

I think I need help.

Beauty MAC - Red Balloon

I was looking at the new MAC collection Playland and everytime I looked at the lipsticks Red Balloon jumped out at me. I don't own a single colour like this, it looks extremely pink and I was so worried about how it was going to look on my lips but lust took over and I bought it.....
It was the best decision ever.
I LOVE IT. It's an amplified lipstick but I don't think it comes across looking fake. I'm actually thinking I can pull this off day to day without all of work going ' Where you off to tonight!?' The only bad thing about it? ... It's limited edition!

Beauty: Rimmel Kate Moss 107

I'm not sure why I haven't even owned a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick before. At £5 you think I would own heaps, but having pretty chunky lips I have to be very selective about my lipsticks. Every time I go to the Kate Moss section I just cannot seem to find a colour I think will work for me. I bought this one as part of my ASOS order as it was only £3.50 in the sale and I debated between this colour and 111 but decided that this was a little different and more berry then the shades I already owned so I bought this one (online swatch pictures are my savior!) 

It has a slight fragrance to it I can't place but it is soooft and creamy. I really like how moisturising this feels on. Its got a good lasting power too it as well. For a fiver you can't really go wrong with one of these. Someone point me in the direction of Rimmel!!!

Beauty: The daily lip.

MAC: Plumful - The most amazing mauve with a twist. My lip but slightly purplier and not in a bad way. This is the lipstick I go for daily to give my face a lil' something something.
