Charlotte Tilbury light wonder foundation

I'm in love, like actually in love with this.... is it possible to be in love with a foundation? Like all things at the Charlotte Tilbury counter this really hasn't disappointed ( if you couldn't tell by my outburst) and has left me wanting MORE.  Since my trusty NARS tinted moisturiser finished I was debating picking up another bottle or getting a CT foundation. Let's be honest, it wasn't much of a debate, that gorgeous rose gold packaging drew me in very easily.  I knew she had a new foundation coming out so I popped instore to figure out which to get and after speaking with the sales assistant we figured this would be the best option for me. Just to give you the low down, generally I like my foundation very light. I don't like feeling it on my skin especially as I have combination skin and my forehead and chin can get incredibly oily. So the light wonder has a lighter more build-able coverage then the magic foundation which is a more medium to heavy coverage. The NARS tinted moisturiser was lovely don't get me wrong, I would really repurchase it but I did find my chin and forehead still getting quite oily. BUT. oh god, I had been touching my chin all day the first time I wore this like some absolute weirdo because the CT light wonder really doesn't make it feel that oily at all! It feels, hmm, I'm not 100% sure how to describe I guess it felt silky-ish in my oily spots. The coverage is really good and apart from the fact I kept touching my face in one area it stayed most of the day and  I found it covered my redness really well though there was room to comfortably add a little more if I wanted to.  The next day I didn't touch my face and it lasted all day and literally felt like I had nothing on and no oilyness! The girl at the counter also put on a lot more on me then I usually would when we tested it out and it still felt really light. At £32 I think that's a fair enough price at 40ml, which is slightly smaller then the 50ml NARS moisturiser but for all the extra goodness you can't complain and it definitely out shines NARS. ( sorry NARS) The girl at the counter was so lovely and tested out several products on me like the cleansing balm and the magic cream along with the retoucher and powder. Saaaaaafe to say even more products have been added to my CT wishlist - someone want to get me the Norma Parkinson highlighter? ...any takers?...no? The NARS dolomites eyeshadow duo

Nars has a funny way of deceiving me, the box looked a good size, when I took out my eyeshadows I felt a little disapointed for £25 quid, it felt small. Open it up and there are two really big eyeshadows -relief! This palette got added to my lust list after seeing it on Latasha's blog ( whose photography is far superior to mine!), it just looked too beautiful to pass up! I wasn't disappointed with the colours when I opened this up, the light pink and brown both have a gorgeous light rainbow glitter to them, I don't think any photo could do this justice. The pink is very shimmery and the brown is a matte with glitter - does that make sense? I feel like they are going to make the perfect 1960-s cat eye with a glittery twist! ( I will be trying something like this in a few days - keep your eyes out!)  The pink shade is just stunning and the brown blends in beautifully and softly which is going to be perfect for your crease. was this worth the £25? -Yes I think so! When you think a Mac eyeshadow is £12.50 a pop; this is pretty much the same value and I haven't got any shades like this! Let's not forget that NARS packaging is just beautiful and simple, I think it's what's attracting me to NARS so much lately. Beauty: January 2015 favourites

This month has been a mix of old and new favourites!!  Foundation & concealer wise I have been loving: Benefits - How to look the best at everything ( Review coming soon!). For months I put away my benefit products and stuck to my trusted NARS tinted moisturiser.... after receiving this as a gift I haven't stopped using it! But I'll save the rest for the review! ( gotta keep you all coming back! haha)  Next up, my love for Zoeva continues, I don't think any brushes will top these! I can't wait to get my mitts on the new rose gold eye collection! Such great value especially if you are looking to expand your Brush collection and well. ROSE GOLD. I'm just obsessed with it. I can't be the only one!? Blush & Bronzer wise I've gone back to this NARSicisst palette. Funnily enough I was thinking about selling this because I hadn't really used it much and the bronzer wasn't as pigmented as my Rimmel one. I thought, okay this cost me quite a bit so...one last chance. And that was all it needed. I love the blush and bronzer combo and even love how subtle the bronzer is by itself! Absolutely a Keeper! ( though I'm faaar to white for the highlight) L'oreal Superliner is the only thing I can apply eyeliner with, I've tried barry M, pencils, I've even got an eyeliner gel pot but nothing compares to the ease and pigmentation of this baby!  Over christmas I got super lax with my cleansing routine and this past month I've really gotten back into my ' quick cleanse' using Good Things Deep Pore.You can read a more detailed review here. Lastly, my latest lipstick, I can't describe just how much I love this, I think it really is my favourite lipstick ever.( I really mean EVER) sooo soft. sooo creamy. sooo beautiful. Beauty: palette wishlist

There are soooo many beautiful palettes out at the moment. I've probably missed another 10 odd that I want.

I think its safe to say from the above picture I NEED a lorac palette in my life!!! I've heard such good things about these palettes! Such great colour selections! even in the mini unzipped palette!

The first palette is an Estee Lauder palette in current desire, there was at least another 2-3 versions of this palette that I would like too but of all of them this was my favourite. I think its got perfect christmas party shades!

We've got 2 cheeky Urban decay palettes the on the run palette which i dont think is out yet! everything you need everyday I think this palette is going to be a bag space life saver! the Vice 3 palette has some amazing colours and what I like about this palette is they include some colours I would never go for so if I ever needed them there is an opportunity with this palette!

Lastly is the NARS virtual domination cheek palette! £45 I'm sooo undecied to buy thus, the packaging is beaaautiful but in the Narcissist palette I already have laguna and deep throat. but. two limited edition shades....and that coral shade looks so nice.... DILEMMA. A few people have said that the pigmentation isn't as good as a stand alone blush, has anyone tried this, is it true? I do find this is the case with my Narcissist palette

Beauty: Review - Korres Wild Rose Moisturiser

I think I mentioned a few times I was after this moisturiser( £20) to try. It smells really nice and it has a really nice texture to it, not as gloopy as the nivea day cream I was using but not as much as a cream as the night cream, kinda in between. Thats not overly helpful is it? Sorry! It feels nice and fresh in the morning anyway and makes your skin feel lovely and soft!
I saw my friend the other day and she said my skin was looking really good! I was like really?! I hadn't noticed a massive difference but it could be a combination of this and the NARS tinted moisturiser? I have started back at hot yoga and expected a break out and I haven't had one so this is definitely doing something!
Maybe this isn't the most helpful review, truthfully I've been putting it off because I just couldn't decide how to say what I wanted. Value for money? at £20 it is quite a lot but I got it on discount on ASOS for £16 so I didn't feel to bad. I think I will most likely be repurchasing this as I'm enjoying it a lot more then the nivea!

Beauty: Nars tinted moisturiser review

As I've been using this for a couple of weeks now I decided it's finally time to whip out a review.
First of all, maybe this is a common theme with Nars but it was smaller then I expected for £28 I did expect it to be a lot bigger. However, you don't really need a lot of this, I have actually squeezed too much out too many times thinking I need more when I don't. I'm also surprised about how good the coverage is. I wanted a tinted moisturiser for summer so my skin wasn't getting as clogged and also for festivals because there is nothing worse then feeling all hot and sweaty and then feeling your face melting off. This is so wonderfully light, I couldn't believe it! I also have very red cheeks and it covered them really well, sometimes when my cheeks are redder then usual I dab a little extra on or go over with a concealer. You don't feel this sat on your skin and after testing it out at Parklife this is definitely perfect for festivals! ( extra bonus it has SPF 30+) I picked the colour Finland as it was the palest and it seems to match my skins really well.

All in all I'm really happy with this though I may only purchase it when I can get some discount on ASOS.

Do you recommend any other tinted moisturisers to try? What do you think of the Nars one?

Beauty: Some of todays face.

Beauty: Nars Soft touch Shadow pencil

HE HE HO HO. Extreme close up.

I recently got this with an ASOS order in the shade Heat, something about the colour I just loved! A sort of teal colour? I used to have a Avon eye pencil I loved and couldnt wait to try this one. I love to use it with my usual eyeliner on top!

I have to say though, this is a little TOO soft, it says its supposed to be long-lasting...err. I didn't put a primer underneath so that might help but within minutes it had made a weird crease line and an hour later when I had gotten to work it had turned into a grey/green-y eyeshadow-thing . I was a little gutted but then everyone said my eyes looked really nice today so maybe it works somehow!

The pencils retail at £18 ( thankfully I didn't pay that!) which to be honest I think is far too much, so I think I will only pick up some more of these when I can get them with some kind of discount. Otherwise I really recommend the Avon alternatives!

Beauty -Spring 2014 Beauty Wishlist

Hey guys!
So this post is pretty lame but I'm still seriously ill and I just want to rest. I did kind of want to stop doing wishlists but I thought one last one wouldn't hurt! :)

1. Ambient lighting blush - Mood Exposure : I don't know what it is about these blushes but the inner artist in me is screaming to buy them all! They are just stunning! Looking at all of this I think Mood Exposure will be my first purchase of the lot! It seems to have quite a mauve tone similar to the Topshop blush - Dream phone that I just bought.

2. Bumble and bumble - City Swept : I've been eyeing this because it looks like a quick fix texturising spray and I think it would be perfect for work when I've taken my helmet off ( I drive a motorbike) to give my hair a little more oompf and a little less helmet hair.

3. Zoeva - Rose gold brush collection : Not gonna lie, I have been eyeing this up for months now, imagine my devastation when I finally get the money and it's out of stock!!! ( this seems to be a reoccuring theme here, definitely need to win the lottery!! ) I am obsessed with rose gold and the thought of it being on my brushes is too exciting! You get 8 essential brushes and a gorgeous elegant bag to put them all in! Perfect for travelling!

4.NARS -  Narcissist Eye palette : I did actually reserve one of these. I think I missed the call and it is sold out AGAIN. I umm'd and ahh'd about this because it had mixed reviews but the more I can't have it the more I HAVE to have it.Those two purple toned shades NEED to be in my life.

5. Charlotte Tilbury - Vintage Vamp Palette : You can never have enough eye palettes. This one is gorgeous! 4 colours that work so well together and give a new take on the 'smokey eye'

6. Estee Lauder - Pure colour envy lipstick in Rebellious Rose: I have a list of these lipsticks that I want but this is the chart topper. Nice mauve tone I think would be perfect for day to day! ( do you notice a natural mauve theme in my products?!)

7. Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask to Clear Pores - I have a pore complex. I just hate them and I will try anything to get rid of them!! I've heard a lot of amazing reviews about origins and I think this would be an ideal first purchase! I really want to up my beauty routines this year.

8.Living proof - primer : As I mentioned above. helmet hair is not a cool look, neither is windblown-to-fuck hair; which always seems to happen to me! I've seen really good reviews about how this helps hair to stay put for days!

9. Korres - Wild rose + Vitamin C sleeping mask: As I mentioned above I really want to up my beauty game in the sense of getting better at cleansing and taking care of my skin. I use a nivea night cream but I am unsure how I feel about it so I think this is going to be the next contender for my night cream staple.

Beauty - Review: Topshop Blush in dream Phone

Hey guys!
So this is a recent purchase I really wanted to blog to you about, its one of Topshops newest blushes called 'dream phone'. As soon as I saw this online I knew I wanted it. It's a gorgeous dark rusty rose colour with a golden shimmer in it. I don't always like really pinkish blushes as I tend to always go for bronzer over blush or the two together but this particular shade no bronzer is required! The pigmentation is really good as well so for £7 it's an absolute bargain. I popped into NARS after I bought this and it was spitting image of a NARS blush - I just can't remember the name of it! ( Sorry guys! I think it was one of the new ones either Love or Sex Fantasy) Here are some pictures of it! - Let me know if you can figure out which NARS shade it looks like!

Beauty: Review- NARSissist Blush Palette

Hey guys!

So, when I recently caught my eye on the NARSissit palettes I was in LOVE. I immediately tried to get the eyeshadow palette - sadly with no luck and settled for the Blush palette. I had been looking at investing in Laguna and Orgasm for quite a while so thought £35 for both and a highlighter? Why not?!

First off when I initially opened this, I won't lie I was a little heartbroken. IT'S TINY. I had to close it and reopen it thinking I was dreaming.( when I saw the eyeshadow palette in person it was the same.) I was like... I've just spent £35 quid on THIS. ( When your as broke as I am, this is a big deal) But you get a mini Laguna, Orgasm and a limited edition highlighter and a brush to use with it.

So I went to Amsterdam and came back monday and looked at it and thought okay, it might not be so bad, so I tried it out, I have to say it takes a few goes to make it look like you have used it but I do really like the colours and I like how subtle Orgasm looks. The highlighter I feel doesn't do much for me but that might be because I am just THAT white. It's also lucky that you get a brush with it as all my blush brushes were far to big, Realtechniques just SWAMPS this little guy.

When you think about it, Nars brushes are like £20? And this is actually a really nice soft brush, so in a sense you have paid £5 for each of the shades, so when you look at it like that its not really a bad purchase. The travel size is also really convenient so that's a bonus for it.

I think I was so disheartened at first because already owning the naked flushed which is £20 and much bigger - I was expecting a bit more then what I got. I guess when it comes down to it, the Naked flushed trumps the NARS palette hands down for me in value, size and pigmentation.
