Goal wishlist

So...life has been mental, I've kinda gone into overdrive into making and painting for my shop with working 20-30 hours overtime and gymming as well, safe to safe I AM exhausted, I'm telling myself its a good kind of exhausted but I need to get better at time management because I need to squeeze in that time for blog posts - I am getting a teeeeeeeeny bit better at posting on my fashion blog - okay I'm rambling. So last week in all the chaos of life I tried to spend some time reading blog posts and I LOVED this one by reinventing Neesha where she talked about her goals and beauty things she would reward herself if she achieved them. It made me think of all the million and one things I want and how I could push myself to work harder to earn them. - I didn't want to focus on one thing so I've made goals for all aspects of my life blog/art/ money.

So some goal/treat ideas

1. ADIDAS cheetah stan smiths. BEAUT BEAUT BEAUT. I can purchase these once I have properly completed BBG 1.0 this means sticking to my LISS and doing ALL my resistance and HIIT when it gets introduced. These kind of shoes NEED to be earnt.

2. Triple helix piercing, I've wanted this for a while and was going to go last month but realised that money for Thailand was much more important so I decided to make this a goal. I can get this once I have sold my first 10 jars

3. Foot tattoo's I saw a pic of a blogger with some simple traditional flowers on both her ankles and I've really loved the idea, I would have to work it around my current foot tattoo but decided to treat myself once I've finally gotten rid of that pesky overdraft.

4. Olivia Burton tortoiseshell watch, oh my god this is my dream watch, I want to start doing stall's so decided that I can do this once I've made £500 at a stall. ( I'm going to re-assess this once I've started stalling incase that's just a bit unobtainable...)

5. Get some black and white Nike Roshe Runs, I have a pair of these to send back because the tick is silver and maybe that sounds weird but if I am paying £70 for a pair of black and white shoes I want my tick to be WHITE. so decided to put these off  until I have completed BBG 1.0 for the second time with higher weights.

6. Buy a Charlotte Tilbury highlighter, a girl tried this out on my when I tested for my foundation and I have never wanted a highlighter so much, oh my god. Can't get this until I've gotten 500 bloglovin followers!  -C'mon and help me out folks aha!

7. Get Gallance Dore's book Live Life Love - I've wanted this for ages so decided this can be a treat once I have gotten up to 500 twitter followers

8. Get a leopard print triangl bikini, I've lusted after this for so long but agreed to myself I wouldn't get this until I had nicely toned up - it's going to take a lot of work but it'll be worth it!

9. Get grey/pastel hair, I've wanted this for tiiiiime, but the up keep is something I just can't afford at the moment. so decided this one is happening when I pay off my credit card. ( I may also treat myself to a Charlotte Tilbury magic cream..... you can never have enough CT!)

10.  Nars cruella lip pencil, something else I've wanted for ages, named after one of my favourite and most stylish villians. I can treat myself once I have 500 instagram followers

11. Olivia burton bee watch - Sell 30 paintings, I've become obsessed with colour study paintings, they will be coming to the shop this weekend once they are dry, at the moment I have 11 canvas's but I hope to order a lot more in april for when I do the stalls.

12. Treat myself to some topshop jeans, I've honestly not worn jeans for years now because of inner thigh chaffing and just generally being uncomfortable. So I decided when I have shrunk my inner thighs a little more I'm going to treat myself to my first pair of jeans in ages. Through the BBG plan I have managed to shrink the things A LOT, I'm so happy with it, I definitely feel more confident so perhaps by the end of the plan I'll have a pair of jeans!

That's all I've got so far, making this list has been so much fun, I may do a post in 6 months time with an update on how I got on with all my goals- or I may come back and slash them off when done. Have you written a list like this? what's on your wishlist? xx

Getting something from Zoeva that isn't a brush....

beauty review zoeva lipstick melting kisses
A while back I ordered some brushes for my mates birthday and couldn't resist treating myself and trying out some Zoeva lipsticks( you can't ever have enough right?!). I picked the shade melting kisses;this is described as a warm mellow pink, I have no idea why it's come out so coral in the photograph! I suppose it is kind of like a corally pink.
Those of you packaging nuts may be pleased to know this has magnetic closing, I know how us bloggers love a good bit of magnet in our lipsticks. The overall look is quite simple which personally I like,  it's glossy and I kinda feel like it looks a little..bulky? if that makes sense.
It's not as smooth and soft as the topshop lipsticks but it still is good and the colour pay off isn't to shabby either. It cost around 8.50 euro's which I suppose is fair enough but I think there are better high street lipsticks out there which are easier to get hold of like Topshop and Rimmel. I will enjoy using this but I'm I think I'll stick to getting more brushes from Zoeva for now.
Have you tried one of these?

Topshop lipstick in lovestruck

The amount of Topshop lipsticks I own is quickly creeping up, at £8 a go they are an absolute bargain. I think the quality of these guys matches even MAC at times. Deliciously soft and creamy these definitely don't dry your lips out and colour pay out is pretty darn good.
The other day I had a look in the Topshop make up section and noticed a few new lipsticks and was like ohhhmygod, this one was initially sold out but thankfully Liverpool had one left. It's a gorgeous pinky rose shade, not far off MACs plumful and estee lauders rebellious rose.
I am still waiting for Topshop to bring back my beloved beatnik so I can stock up but I think this one will tide me over till then!

Review: Topshop velvetine lipstick

beauty review topshop velvetine lip stain
A while back I debated getting a lip stain from Sephora(after all the hype) and decided to get something else instead and then get this from topshop after hearing a few good things about this one.  I am a massive advocate of Topshops beauty products but honestly? I was left more then a little disappointed with this one. I found when I applied this it was really patchy and I had to go over it with a lipstick to even out the colour. The colour itself is a lovely deep red very similar to MACs russian red ( which I went over it with).
I will say it did have good lasting power and when I just had the stain on it didn''t print on anything it was just a shame it was so patchy. For £10 I really don't think it is worth it and I'm going to invest in the Sephora version this month so look out for a review of that later!
What did you make of this?

Beauty: Topshop Lipstick - Partition

I won't lie, I was swayed to by this because it was a Beyonce song... I had initially gone into Topshop to buy two other shades and saw this one and because of the name swatched this and I ended up loving this the most. This shade is a gorgeous pinky red shade that from memory I think is quite similar looking to MACS 'all fired up' or 'lickable'.
I love Topshop lipsticks, I think they are just the best value and feel just as good as any MAC lipstick. Creamy, moisturising and they last for a good amount of time and hey for £8 they are a bargain!
I was using this lipstick for a post for my style blog(here) and unfortunately didn't get the time to take another picture as I've just had an op and having cotton taped to your nose is not attractive, so here was an 'outtake' pic!

Beauty: Autuminal Favourites

I know I have been off the blogging radar, I got a new laptop and can't seem to get photoshop on it, to edit my pictures so I may have to get back to the old laptop again....I am pretty useless with technology!

So a lot of people are going on about their Autumn favourites and there are some excellent selections going on. Of course we all have the standard dark A/W lip, I know a lot of people are going for berry's but this dark brick red ( MAC's hearts aflame) is the one for me this Autumn( if you want a cheaper version look at the Kate Moss for Rimmel collection 07).  My daily lip is MAC's Yield to love, I love a good Mauve ( I've probably said this countless times) - mylipbutbetter. Anybody have a few good Mauve's to recommend? Illamasque seem to have some good ones going!

I got this rimmel bronzer to replace my beloved topshop bronzer and its perfect! I always prefer a bronzed cheek to a blush and this is quite subtle, I was debating the bodyshop honey bronzer but I was broke and this was cheaper...what's new? but it was a great decision, same quality! On top of this I have been loving dabbling the Rimmel stay blushed! I am going to do a review of this because I love this so much more then I ever anticipated.

A few weeks on and I am still wildly in love with the Naked basics 2, it actually hurts to debate using another palette, like I feel like such a judas I have to find a way to sneak this one in as well. I think it's brilliant to do a simple shadow sweep a long with the brick red or a brown smokey cateye with the mauve.

And lastly I have fallen back in love with my Realtechniques blush brush! I always put this aside for my Kabuki brush but recently this has been coming out on top.

What are your favourites?

Lipsticks

Beauty - 5 Winter lipsticks

I love winter, I love the dark tones, the faux fur, the leather, I love it all.( apart from the cold. I really don't love that.) I don't usually separate between summer and winter in terms of make up or fashion, I think the most I have done is swap from foundation to tinted moisturiser. But there is something about winter that makes everyone want to get their Burgundy lipsticks out so I though I would put my two cents in and show you the 5 shades I have ' for winter'.

- Charlotte Tilbury: Night Crimson
- Mac: Hearts Aflame
- Rimmel: Kate Moss 107
- Topshop Lip Bullet : Wine Gum  ( the don't sell this anymore but they have  another shade called Bewitched which is equally as nice)
- Mac Russian Red ( this isn't particularily wintery or dark but I love it so and I will probably wear this to any christmas parties with some gold eyeshadow...)

Another lipstick I used to own was Topshops Hazard which for £8 is ideal and a beautiful shade.

What are your favourite dark reds?

Everyone is loving matching your top and bottoms wether its crop tops and shorts, maxi skirts... the options are endless. For me its about patterns and tailoring. How To: Crimson Lips.

Hello!

So... my first ever... how to! Like I said it is just going to be small things in the how to's so I thought I would start with Crimson lips as my Charlotte Tilbury lipstick came today and I am beyond excited to wear it!

The Lip pencil is called Savage Rose and the lipstick is called Night Crimson - both are extremely soft, I actually didn't expecct the pencil to be as soft as it was which is why the lip line I drew was horrendous! haha!

1. Get some lip balm on those lips!
2. Outline your lip
3. Shade it with the lip pencil
4. chuck on that lipstick!

Ta-Da! Easy as!

Now Charlotte Tilbury make up is a little expensive and I only invested as a treat so if you can't afford to splurge £23 on a lipstick ( and to think my heart used to break when spending £15 on a MAC lipstick!!) I did have a nosy in boots and found Revlon came the closest to a high-street alternative with the colour stay lip liner in plum and the super lustrous lipstick in Black Cherry. - These are just the closest in looks I can't say for feel or quality but the CT duo are just so soft and dewy they don't feel like they are going to dry out at all - even without the pre lip balm added!!  If you wanted to get crimson lips minus the lip liner try topshops: Bewitched or Beguiled.

What's your favourite crimson shades?

Beauty - Review: Topshop nail brushes.

Hey guys!

I have been eyeing up the topshop nail brushes for a long time now because I have been having some serious nail envy, especially on pinterest. The set is £10 and comes with 6 brushes, considering it was £6 just for the dotting one, £10 for the lot is a bargain! They come with a variety of tips to help you get those reaaallly neat thin lines or little dots for flowers.

I tried out doing some kinda chevron patterns on my nails with one of the brushes and it was so easy to use, guaranteed my painting skills need a little work. ( Is that really bad considering I am an artist and pride myself on painting?) I haven't quite figured out when I would use the big fan brush but I am so excited to get some nail how-to's to you all! I saw some cat nails I am desparate to try!

What are your favourite nail effects? Have you tried these brushes? - What is the fan one for?!

Style: H & M Jewellery Haul ( & Sneaky Topshop Jewellery Haul)

Hey guys!

So I want to focus this post on H&M Jewellery which is why the Topshop mention is in brackets in the title. So I was watching Hello October's haul video and she mentioned a really nice sort of chunky Vshaped H & M necklace and said it was real cheap so yesterday ( I know I said in my march haul that was my shopping for the month...but....it's so cheap!)  I went to have a look......

I kind of intended just to get that necklace, and then I came out with three other things and I had to FORCE myself not to get anything else.

As you can see I got this little set of Studded roses in different shapes, I don't have many studs and want to increase my collection so I bought this gorge little set and it was only £2!!! How could I not?! I think found the same necklace Suzie got and added that to my collection. Then I found the double chain necklace which I think was around £7 or 8 which I had wanted one from Miss Selfridge for ages and it was around £16 and to be honest the metal feels really good, Like it doesn't feel cheap or plastic-y which it would if it was that price at topshop. ( Let's be honest there). and lastly I got the little necklace with a V which was £2 I think - I got this one because I thought it would look really nice and cute with blouses.  All in all my shop came to £16 essentially which would like I said have been the price of ONE necklace in topshop. I am going back today to get some bits for a friends birthday so if I am naughty again I will update this post.

I just really wanted to rave about H & M jewellery because I've always overlooked it and its actually amazing! The only thing I would say is the shop in the trafford center didn't have much in the way of rings, I think I will need to go the city centre one to check those out.

I also did a cheeky mini ring haul in topshop, I am on the hunt for more midi rings - I'm obsessed!!
So I picked up the bird set which I got more for the two other mini rings rather then the bird one itself. I got a flamingo one and a bee ring( which isn't midi.) The bird set was around £7.50 and the other rings were around £5 each. ( can you see why I was so blown away by H&M?)

What are your favourite midi rings? or H & M jewellery?!
